Officers 2010 Rear Admiral S Lidbetter
 Rear Admiral Scott Lidbetter left the Fleet Air Arm as Flag Officer Maritime Aviation and AOC 3 Group in 2003 and is now a principal consultant at GBR Search where his main commercial focus concerns appointments associated with business intelligence and corporate security. He also works in the charity and not for profit sectors.
Scott started his aviation career in the Royal Navy flying Sea King and Wasp helicopters. He was lucky enough to transfer to fast jets and flew the Buccaneer from the previous HMS ARK ROYAL during her last commission. He subsequently flew the A7 Corsair on exchange to the USN and then the Sea Harrier in 800 and 801 Naval Air Squadrons. He commanded 899 NAS, HMS CHARYBDIS, HMS CUMBERLAND, RNAS YEOVILTON and HMS OCEAN and was awarded both the Queen’s Commendation for Valuable Service in the Air and the Queen’s Commendation for Valuable Service.
In addition to being Chairman of the Fleet Air Arm Officers’ Association he is a Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society & Deputy Chairman of the Air Power Group, Council Member of the Air League, Member of the Risk & Security Management Forum and a Freeman of the City of London & the Company of Security Professionals.
Scott is married to Lisa Rosen, Director of Litigation and Senior Counsel at Merrill Lynch.
