FAAOA FAA Boys retraction

Personal from the Chairman and FAAOA Committee:

The piece published in the Sept 21 News Sheet (Vol 48 No 3, Page 19) commenting on the book ‘Fleet Air Arm Boys’ authored by Dr Steve Bond was a personal view presented by a single member and not an endorsed position or reflective in anyway of the FAAOA committee views on the publication and should have been annotated as such. The FAAOA has always been supportive of this and similar FAA publications that tell the Maritime aviation story. The book will be reviewed officially by Committee members alongside other books that we occasionally get asked to reflect on and the review published in the next newsletter. 

On behalf of the FAAOA committee I would like to apologise for any misunderstanding to the author or contributors to “Fleet Air Arm Boys” caused by inaccurate representation of a single member’s personal observation.
