The film Hunt for Red October, which starred Sean Connery, highlighted unseen encounters between submarines of NATO and the Soviet Union.
This month's Thursday evening lecture on Cold War Royal Navy submarine operations and close encounters with Soviet Navy warships takes place on 25 July at the Fleet Air Arm Museum, near Yeovil #visitsomerset. It will also be live streamed Online via zoom for members and non members in England, the UnitedKingdom, Europe and beyond.
Presenter Iain Ballantyne Books is Editor of Warships IFR Magazine and author of Hunter Killers, the untold story of the Royal Navy's most secret service.
